Can you cut pieces of the decorative tile and put them in so they line up with the white tiles? Then put "something" to cover the remaining gap? Lo...Do you have any photos showing the full height? Looks like you might be able to build a small "corner" trim board, possibly 1x3 on both sides to cover the transition.
